PA12 SLS Printing
Laser-sintered nylon for complex geometries. No support structures, isotropic strength, and production-grade mechanical properties.
Gauti kainodarąWhat is PA12 (SLS)?
PA12 is a fine nylon powder processed by Selective Laser Sintering (SLS). A laser selectively fuses powder particles layer by layer, producing parts with complex internal geometries, interlocking features, and uniform mechanical properties in all directions.
Unlike FDM, SLS requires no support structures — unfused powder supports the part during printing. This enables designs impossible with any other 3D printing technology: lattice structures, internal channels, and assemblies printed as a single piece.

Frequently Asked Questions
How does SLS PA12 differ from FDM Nylon?
SLS PA12 produces isotropic parts (equal strength in all directions) with finer detail. FDM Nylon is stronger but has visible layer lines and directional strength.
What surface finish does SLS produce?
SLS parts have a slightly grainy, matte texture from the powder process. Parts can be dyed, tumble-polished, or vapor-smoothed for smoother finishes.
Can SLS parts be dyed?
Yes, PA12 accepts dye uniformly. We offer black dyeing as a standard post-processing option.
What is the minimum feature size for SLS?
Minimum wall thickness is 0.7 mm, minimum detail size is 0.3 mm. For best results, design walls at 1.0 mm or thicker.
Is SLS suitable for production parts?
Yes, SLS PA12 is widely used for end-use production parts in automotive, aerospace, and consumer products. Quality is consistent across batches.
