Is 3D-printed PP as flexible as injection-molded PP?
Very close. FDM PP produces parts with similar flexibility and fatigue life, though layer adhesion is lower than injection-molded PP.
What chemicals can PP resist?
PP resists most acids, bases, alcohols, and solvents. It is only attacked by strong oxidizing acids and chlorinated solvents.
Can PP be painted or glued?
PP has low surface energy, making adhesion difficult. Plasma treatment or specialized PP adhesives are required for bonding.
Is PP suitable for food contact?
PP is widely approved for food contact. For 3D-printed parts, post-processing with food-safe coatings is recommended.
How does PP compare to PETG?
